DT CraftWell: Fiesta Medals/ Ribbons and Fiesta Earrings

     Hi,

This is my next post for Craftwell. For this post I decided to use my several Fiesta stamps and dies to create shrink plastic charms for fiesta ribbons and earrings:

First, I used the colorful flower gift bows from the Dollar Tree and complimented them with the tail parts of the Ribbon Rosette Die & Stamp Showcase Set, Tonic Studio. I also used the banner and trophy die (which I cut to just show the No. 1 part) out of gold paper.

I used Spectrum Noir alcohol markers to highlight the embossed No. 1 sentiment and created a 2 for the other two ribbons. It is hard to see that part in the picture below, but I did trim the center part to show them later on (above picture).

The ribbons looked kind of plain, so I decided to stamp charms using my HeroArts and FSJ fiesta sets on printable shrink plastic (Sizzix, on the white/ rough side) and then die cut them with the respective die. My daughter helped me color the stamped images using gel pens and metallic/ glitter markers. Then, I punched a hole in each die cut and attached the rings. I, then, used my heat gun to shrink the plastic- scary step as it curls totally up until it reaches its final size where it flattened back. If not perfect continue melting and turning back and fort until nice and straight:

Sadly the metallic/ glitter part doesn't show on the shiny side of the charm:

Here, a closer look of each fiesta charm pair:

And finally, the fiesta chihuahuas were so cute that I made earrings out of the charms:

and on the ribbons, I added two or just one charm:

Craftwell DT: Fall Festival Goodies

Hi,

This is my next post for Craftwell.

Every year my daughter's troop host a fall festival at the pumpkin patch, so I searched Pinterest and came up with several ideas for dressing up fall goodies:

Reese candy holders:

These pumpkin (orange flavored) gummies were my favorite:

I die-cut several tags and stamped them with fall sentiments, the same with the acorns, sunflowers, and pumpkins. I used all the different shaped pumpkin dies I had as well as the sunflowers and acorns.

The instructions for the Ferrero Rocher containers, I found them in Pinterest and followed them.

DT CraftWell: Fiesta Ribbon Medals

Hi,

This is my next post for Craftwell.

I live in San Antonio, Texas and April is its Fiesta month.
In my kids school, we did a Fiesta celebration on April 30th and I was in charge of arranging a shoe box parade for the little ones.
So I made Fiesta ribbon medals for the winners:

In short:

I bought already made birthday ribbons with the pin in the back and converted them in fun Fiesta Medals (that's a big item here, everybody collects them during April).
I stamped sentiments and cute little Fiesta critters from HeroArts and cut them with their complimentary die cut.
I stamped sentiments directly in the ribbons used for the Fiesta Wreaths and even the chihuahua/ tacos directly to them using the FSJ licorice black ink. And colored everything with gel pens.

Then, I used my hot glue gun to assemble the medals. I used small Mexican hats, decorated them with rhinestone ribbon, to cover the "birthday" sentiment.
Those were super cute and quick to make.
I did prizes for these categories:

"Fiesta Diversity"
"Fiesta Medal Craze"
And
"#ILoveTacosSoMuch"

Don't the little ones look so cute with their ribbon medals and their shoe boxes floats?
