Hi,
This is my next post for Craftwell.
Today, I wanted to show you two different projects I made using the Tattered Lace Magazine free alphabet dies from 2015.
Today, I wanted to show you two different projects I made using the Tattered Lace Magazine free alphabet dies from 2015.
First, let me show you what I made with the positive alpha die cuts.
For this project, I used the positive alpha die cuts made from thicker kraft cardstock as embossing patter for the class project title:
I attached the letters to painters tape and made a sandwich using foil, the painters tape and a foam sheet. I run the whole sandwich through the SNAP and used the embossed words as title, hand embossing the numbers.
This went really nicely with the students' class project on the right side bellow:
Last year I participated in Art Venture 2021's class by Finnabair: Midnight Stories – Altered Book Cover.
Inspired by that class, I decided to make my second project recycling the negative cuts from the alphabet strip I had cut for the school Gala class project for my daughter's class as part of the background design, and I to recycle an iPad packaging as canvas instead of the original journal covers.

Here is Finnabair's class example:
In short and without going into details, I followed Finnabair's instructions and finished my two wall hangings:
