Quicky Project and Nice Card for a Wine Bottle

Dear scrappers,
I made this quick wine card for a friend and had less than 10 min. To finish it, thus I decided to use the 10 minute craft-32 challenge as my inspiration:

I used a 3x12 inches of B&T CTMH paper from last year Christmas collection. I folded it in 4 and sealed it with a CTMH poinsettia brad. I added a piece of ribbon and glued it to the middle to served as a handle.








I used a piece of the CTMH tags dimensional elements to stamp my Sparkle & Shine sentiment. I added a ruby inked veneer bird as accent to finish the look.








I added another sentiment to the back and hand -wrote the names. I was done in 7 min. With enough time to wrap the bottle with cellophane paper and add a ribbon...
I just added 2 chocolates to the little pockets and voila I was done ;-)
It was a fun project to make, thus I made 3 more using the Shine and Sparkle left over pieces from my WSOTG... And used the

Christmas Canvas- 2nd Sample

Dear Scrappers,

After finishing my previous sample, I realized that I didn't have enough white embroidery paper for all the class kits. Thus, I decided to do a sample using an more gold color palette coordinating with the other papers included in the handmade paper pack:



I let my kids (my 6 yo boy and my 4 yo daughter) help me cover some of the dimensional shapes from CTMH with washi tape. Btw they each did a triangle of my Christmas tree sample...
I know they might not be perfect, but I love them because they made them :-)
Thus, I left mine out and just showcase theirs. I might put a note in the back of the canvas to journal their ages and the date they made the ornaments...

I added the same elements to the canvas and this time I distressed with brass Tim Holtz distressing ink...
I added three silk flowers from Michaels and used a different punch around the page punch from MS...


I was very surprise to realize that my son's ornaments weren't that different from mine, meaning that he is very talented (or I that I not that much... Let's keep it at he is really talented ;-)
He even added a smily face with my crop-a-dile...
I added some inked veneer birds that I got from Stamp Antonio last year.


I stamped some Christmas flowers with clear ink (CTMH) and sprinkle some golden glitter embossing powder and heat embossed the sole background:




I used a different sentiment from another CTMH stamp set from last year and stamped directly to a piece of the gold-pieces-containing paper, trimmed it, and attached with dimensional glue dots:

Christmas Canvas- playing with textures

Dear scrappers,
I hope this third time is the charm... I try to post this since yesterday ;-) and my iPad died or the app crashed :-(
Finally, the sample for the coming class is done. I used two different challenges as inspirations:

Here is the final project:




I used it to frame my last year Christmas card, but the best thing is that I can replace the picture as many times as I wish because of the clothespin (I bought from Michaels $1 bin and embellished using liquid pearls and green Glitz, CTMH). Btw, The silk flowers also came from the $1 bin from Michaels:




For the Christmas tree, I got inspired by the washi you merry challenge and covered some corrugated board pieces from CTMH, which were in the "while supply last" section, with washi tapes from CTMH and Tim Holtz...: http://vicky-sa-scrapbooking.ctmh.com/Retail/Products.aspx?CatalogID=1702




I made the star out of some glitter ribbon and added some Rhine stones and white star sequins to embellish the tree. For the trunk, I stained an arrow from that corrugated boards set with Tim Holtz distressing ink.


I used some many different papers, some from SEI (the blue with the snow flakes) and from another paper packs. I used some hand made papers for the frame (with embroidery and metallic ships), which I bought at Marshall's.



I embossed the red typed card stock with embossing folders and in the blue card stock, I made some faux stitching using a black CTMH marker and a hole piercing tool.



I punched around the lower card stock edge with an snow flake punch around the page set from Martha Stewart and distressed all card stocks with silver distressing inks from Tim Holtz.
To finalized the Christmas look, I stamped my title with CTMH ruby ink and the Shine & Sparkle stamps set from the workshop on the go kit.
Today, I finished the other canvas using a more gold color palette. I will post it tomorrow ;-)

Christmas little gifts 2010- challenge

Dear Scrappers,
I am trying to catching up with my posting as my 12 days of Christmas or advent own challenge ;-)
I did this little gifts for my close friends and one of my son's teacher:



I used some paper included in the Paper Work's monthly club kit for November or December 2010.
I stamped the border with one of CTMH stamps...


The little box was provided by a friend of mine as her workshop for our unit CTMH meeting and from there I combined the idea with another consultant 25 Christmas cards pieces.


I used some squares from the CTMH mistletoe paper pack, juniper, New England ivy, ruby, and parchment card stocks, a Marta steward edge punch, and some Rhine stones using the ibond.

Christmas Scrapbooking Layout

Dear Scrappers,
I made these two 2-page layouts for my non-stamping club scrappers.
I used the Shine and Sparkle workshop on the go' sketch and adapted it using the Sparkle & Shine Complements Dimensional Elements to replace all the stamped elements. I flipped the color palette to make it more fun:



I used Red Glitz™ Glitter Gel to add some shine instead of using the Sparkles Flourishes included in the workshop on the to version:



For the extra layout, I ran out of the ruby paper, thus, I replaced with a dark red card stock I had. I flipped the papers again and added some shine drawing some flourish using the liquid pearl (glittery) paint. I used the left over or negative shape from the red B&T cricut cut after cutting the shapes for the stamping layout.






I had so much fun playing with this workshop on the go kit and after 8 finished pages, I only needed to add 4 pages of solid card stock for the bases of the extra layouts and still have left over papers to make some cute cards :-)

H2H Challenge & Thanksgiving Favors for the Teachers

Dear Scrappers,
I wanted to participate in this H2H Challenge since I saw it weeks ago. Finally here is my take:
I made this favors for my kids' teachers and aids. I used some precut boxes that I bought at StampAntonio awhile ago and wanted to add some tags or cards. Finally I remembered some paperclips that I bought at Walmart and made bookmarks as Thank you cards using some Sizzix die cuts and stamps combo. I stamped in the back the cute Thank You and my kids names using the CTMH acrylic stamps and inks. I attached the card to the paperclip using liquid glass (CTMH) and an hexagon shape cut. I sponged the edges of both cuts.
To embellish the box, i used old papers from CTMH (the felicity collection) and some sponging on the edges with coordinating inks.
For the main teachers,  I included a turkey nugget made at a friend's (CTMH) thanksgiving workshop, some holidays Starbucks coffee samplers and other goodies.
My kids made some foam bookmarks for their teachers as well. It ended up to be a nice activity for them too...

Kings Fair Banner

Dear Scrappers,
My kids school is celebrating their biggest fundraiser this Saturday: our annual Kings fair and guess who volunteered to make my daughter's class one... Yeah, I...
This is fun event, the kids go dressed as maiden and knights.
I have been very busy lately... Putting together this banner:


- I used my gypsy and some cricut carts... Many many...
The painting was the step that took me longer... Next time I will use a big painters brush instead of the foam ones.



I used laminated pictures from the kids as the center of the flowers. I cut each one using my big shot ...


I used a princess cut and replaced the face with my daughter's teacher...
I even included some water drops using liquid glass.
The clouds and the flower cuts were painted my the kids in class. Nice and cleaner way to involve the kids.


A castle with a cross to represent our church...


My first time using vinyl... It wasn't as easy as it sounds because I used painters tape instead of the transfer one and left the cuts too long. Later I had a hard time peeling off the letters. The trick is to use a scoring tool to burnish the cut into the fabric...
I even painted a stream to mimic the fabric my Mom got to make the fold for the rod. My father painted an old rod for drying clothes.
I general, a family effort...
I took me very long, but I love it :-)
