DT WW: Robin Redbreast- Happy Holidays Card

 Dear Scrappers,

This is my October post for Winter Wonderland Challenge Blog:

This month's sponsor is:

Their Epsy shop: SheepSkiDesigns

I chose the christmas-post-box-image for displaying the Redbreast Robin. Such a cute image.

This is a rather large image, so I decided to look for an sketch to make the most out of it and found this interesting sketch:

Sketch # 241

From sweet sketches challenge blog, see bellow for more info.

I used the matting die to cut the image and then used different distress inks and some HeroArts inks to color it. Then I traced the edges of the die cut unto a larger piece of printed blue cardstock to use as a mat. I fussy cut the blue mat and use the negative corners as part of the sketch embellishment.
I used foam squares to mount the die cut and some bakers twine to complete the look with this month's SCT Sampler sentiment die cut instead of the ribbon.

The outside of the card:

  1. Hi Vicky I'm so glad you liked my sketch. We have two new ones every month, I look forward to seeing other creations from you. I love your card especially your image and the lovely colours you've used. I love how you've embossed your back ground giving your card that extra texture. Great card and thanks so much for sharing it with us over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 and good luck.
