Laughing Lola and Tami's May PhotoFull sketch

Dear Scrappers,

I am so happy that I made it to Scrap'N More (our closest scrapbooking store, http://www.scrapbooknmore.net ) today. I took Tami Sander's PhotoFull class: http://tamisanders.com/2014/05/23/may-photofull-and-money-aving-ketches-class/
Which I have been taken on and off since Scrapbooking 911 closed.
If you like her sketch you can still take this class with Linda Norman, details at Tami's blog.
This is my take:

I loved Tami's sketch and found very easy to follow and her advice, was great as always...

I bought some Kaiser Krafts card stocks and printed tape with the $5 coupon included in the class price :-)

I love the flaps...

This was an easy and nice sketch, thanks Tami...

I hope you enjoy it

Have a blessed week,

Vicky

I had some cricut cuts made from last year's bookmarks, which I used to make some the cars as well.

This was a very quick and easy project,
I hope you enjoy it

Have a blessed memorial weekend,

Tags for CC3 And H2H challenge and Mother's Day

Compendium of Curiosities 3 (Tim Holtz) Challenge 2, my second chance:

Dear scrappers,

Mothers Day just passed thus, I got inspired by two challenges to reward my scrapbooking club students... One by:

The CC3 challenge 2 at:
http://lindaledbetter.com/2014/05/cc3challenge02.html

I made some tags using the Aryana (CTMH) papers and the CM tag punch to embellish some tin cans, I bought at Michaels... And i use some TH distress glitter in Victorian velvet, which matched perfectly the colors in the card stock. I used some distress ink to complete the more antique look...
Voila here we go:

I was also inspired by garden theme suggested in this week H2H challenge and wanted to include some flowers to embellish this boxes I bought a while ago...

H2H Challenge: In the Garden
http://heart2heartchallenges.blogspot.com/2014/05/in-garden.html

I gave the latest to some good friends in a brunch...

Skylark for the CC3 Challenge 2 and the Garden H2H challenge

Compendium of Curiosities 3 (Tim Holtz) Challenge 2:

Dear scrappers,
As every month, I did my club class today and offered the regular WOTG Skylark (CTMH) and a basic alternative using only the Skylark paper pack and the shipboard elements. I used for my own sample other solid color papers (white daisy for one and parchment for the other LO). When I glued the shipboard embellishment I thought about the CC3 challenge 2 at:
http://lindaledbetter.com/2014/05/cc3challenge02.html

And decided to use some glitz and TH distress glitter in tarnished brass, which matched perfectly the slate color in the card stock.
Voila here we go:

I also used the garden theme suggested in this week H2H challenge and wanted to include some flowers from the shipboard embellishments:

H2H Challenge: In the Garden
http://heart2heartchallenges.blogspot.com/2014/05/in-garden.html

I used the flowers in both the double layouts as bullet points for the journaling spots and some other places or bring the rule of threes and make a visual triangle:

I used the birds in the second double page layout for the same purpose:

I hope you enjoy these two challenges and participate as well,
As always I appreciate your input and look forward to hearing from you,
Best Memorial Day weekend
Vicky

Supplies:
CTMH Skylark papers and chipboard embellishments
Liquid Glass (CTMH)
Glossy Accents (Ranger)
Distress Glitter (tarnished brass, Ranger)
Distress Ink (tea dye, Ranger)
Glitz (glue glitter, CTMH)

Compendium of Curiosities 3 Challenge- my take

Dear scrapper,
I need to share this great news with you and even though I am delayed, I still wanted to post this project:
Well Tim Holtz did it again and published his third idea book: Compendium of Curiosities 3... You can order it directly from him at http://timholtz.com/a-compendium-of-curiosities-volume-iii/
It is a wonderful and incredible creative book, thus I didn't want to miss it and got it...
His curiosity crew iii open a challenge based on this book two weeks ago and they will post a new one every two weeks at:

http://lindaledbetter.com/2014/04/cc3c01.html

I made my project right away for challenge 1, but I am posting it way to late; it finished last Friday :-(
Anyway, here is my take

I made a origami fold purse for a friend who bought a origami owl locket from me:

This is a guide for the scoring:

I used the stencil technique in page 43, paint marbling, to cover the pieces otherwise blank in this design and used the TH distress paints to match the old CTMH papers I used:

I distressed the folds as well:

This purse has plenty of space for many signatures to be written on it and can work as gift bag as well:

I made a tag to go with it using the same distress paint colors and even painted the back for the signatures.

I hope you enjoyed this project and make sure to comment on it,
The next challenge started last Saturday and involves distress glitter, on page 56 of the book, make sure to check it out:

Have a great weekend and Happy Belated Mothers Day

Vicky
