DT CraftWell: Lovely Canvas Wall Hanging

Hi,

This is my next post for Craftwell.

For this project, I used a decorated canvas from Quick Quotes. My daughter went with me to one of their fun whole day workshop and we bought this kit to decorate later on. My daughter did an amazing job. I was about to donate some of my sample albums and found again. I wasn't completely satisfied with the title, so I decided to use the sentiment die from SCT. It had just arrived in April, so I was dying to play with it.

Here you can see side by side the change it made in this lovely canvas. Hahaha, pun intended:

I used some printed pink paper and cardstock from the "Lovely" card kit from CTMH:

I had asked my daughter to glue only the bottom part of the picture frame dies cuts to let people add pictures behind. I added some double side tape on the top without removing the backing:

This kind of sentiment die cuts are wonderful to spice up any project, and super easy to cut using the snap.

DT CraftWell: Fiesta Ribbon Medals

Hi,

This is my next post for Craftwell.

I live in San Antonio, Texas and April is its Fiesta month.
In my kids school, we did a Fiesta celebration on April 30th and I was in charge of arranging a shoe box parade for the little ones.
So I made Fiesta ribbon medals for the winners:

In short:

I bought already made birthday ribbons with the pin in the back and converted them in fun Fiesta Medals (that's a big item here, everybody collects them during April).
I stamped sentiments and cute little Fiesta critters from HeroArts and cut them with their complimentary die cut.
I stamped sentiments directly in the ribbons used for the Fiesta Wreaths and even the chihuahua/ tacos directly to them using the FSJ licorice black ink. And colored everything with gel pens.

Then, I used my hot glue gun to assemble the medals. I used small Mexican hats, decorated them with rhinestone ribbon, to cover the "birthday" sentiment.
Those were super cute and quick to make.
I did prizes for these categories:

"Fiesta Diversity"
"Fiesta Medal Craze"
And
"#ILoveTacosSoMuch"

Don't the little ones look so cute with their ribbon medals and their shoe boxes floats?
