Alejandra's Display ages 0-5 years old

Dear scrappers,

I finally finished my daughters' display for her first 0-5 years:

I used some papers from my stash, and don't remember which paper company they were.
The circle chippie from Cretaive Embellistments, some canvas stickers from an old scrapbooking monthly kit, CTMH number/alphabets stamps and inks, gesso, eggshell acrylic craft paint, metallic embellishments from CTMH and Michaels. Mesh ribbon and yarn ribbon also from that monthly kit, alpha- blocks from TH, and some other supplies.
First I painted roughly the back and side of each picture insert with white gesso. Then I added a piece of printed cardstock. Then, I painted the chippie in white and added some highlights with gold acrylic paint. Finally I diecut the pictures and added some stamping, embellishment, etc. Finally, I glued down the chippie and attached the yarn ribbon to the frame and I added more metal elements and stamping.

This picture is from when Ale became 1 yo.
Here is her US and her 1 st picture as a baby.

In these, she was 3 yo.

This picture was taken at school when she was 2 yo.
This is from her 4th birthday.

A closer look at the treatment I made to the circle chip pie.

Some of the challenges, which inspired me:

The chippie circle, the time passing, the numbers.

The yarn ribbon

used of yarn ribbon , the circle, and the colors.

Pile It On! #125 - Quotable

There is a new challenge at Pile it On:
"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
The theme this fortnight at Pile It On is Inspired by a Quote/Lyric/Saying
To begin the new year, this month will be our first annual Charity Challenge. Thirty dollars will be gifted to the charity of choice of one lucky winner (randomly chosen from challenges #124 & #125.)

The Top Picks for Challenge #124 will be announced on January 29, and Top Picks this challenge and the Prize Winner will be announced on February 12.
"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""

For this challenge, I decided to make a wood wall hanging with a Swirlydoos project kit, I had from a while ago, for a graduation present:

I love the quote supplied with this kit and how perfectly goes with this young lady.

These are some of the supplies I used:

Most of the supplies come from this kit or from other Swirlydoos kits. The gesso is from my stash though....

The diecut is from a previous kit, but I liked because it adds tons of dimension:

This is the finished project, showing the invitation inside the circle as an example that it can hold a picture behind it:

I added some 3D dots with the wrapper to have it ready to hold the picture.

I also did some creative gift wrapping of the wallhanging, and added a card made in one of my friend Gloria's workshops:

The cookies arrangement with the college colors was made by my friend Nancy, who has Nancy fancy cookies...

I hope you enjoyed this fun mixed media project and leave me some love,
My Snapguide for this project you can find it here...

Many scrappy blessings

Dear Scrappers,

For this challenge, I though about my father, who is almost officially in remission after having to go through painful treatments for his Basal Cell carcinoma (type of skin cancer). His birthday is on February 18 and he might be visiting his family at that point, so I decided to make him a card just so:

I started with this empty envelope and made a pocket card scraplifting and idea from my friend Carol...

This is the final card, using the lavender ribbon and wings die cuts.

I added a ribbon to keep the card shut.

The inside of the card, with the pocket for a gift card or in my case a bookmark, I'm planning to make for my father:

I used the new tool Carol gave for Christmas: the groove and distressed all edges of the papers using twilight ink from CTMH. All papers, envelope and ribbon are CTMH as well. The die is from spellbinders and the stamp I can really recall.
You can see the pocket better in this picture:

Design Team- Connie Can Crop: It's that time again

  Good morning dear scrappers,

This is my design team post for Connie Can Cropa birthday card I made using an image from the sponsor for this month:

I used an Atlantic Hearts sketch, which I used last time too to guide my card and CTMH papers and stamps for the sentiment in the outside and inside:

This was a very easy to make card and showcases how cool are the Kitty Bee's designs images.

BTW, Big welcome to the new designers on the blog:

Marji Franklin, Sue Kracker, and Shannon Myiow. I really look forward to be inspired and challenged to do my best too by you and your amazing designs.

I had these papers from a wild kit since a while and decided to finally use it. I had cut the papers as part of a PhotoFull class from Tami Sanders at a local scrapbooking store, but now that I finally wanted to use it, I could find the sketch anymore, so I came up with my own design using the precut papers...
No bad, ugh?
I added Connie's Crafty Cart's supplies: washi tape and the green twine.
I hope you enjoy it and decide to hop with us:
