Design Team: Burping Cloths Cake

Hi,
It's Veronica from Vicky's Scrapping Passion  sharing with you a fun project I did for one of my children's teachers, who just became a Grandma for the first time:

I decided to make a diaper cake inspired by one of our dear bloghoping friends: Hollie, but then got convinced otherwise ;-)

I collaborated in this project with my dear friend, Andrea (Stitched by Andrea). She is nuts about embroidering and sewing, and helped me making this super cute burping cloths:

She did, besides convincing me on the burping cloths, do a fantastic job.

I made the cake topper using the Disney-Pooh Font set cart, and made did card as well using my Cricut Explorer. I even did some writing with it ;-) (so proud of myself)...

2- I used Viva Color amber glass effect pen.
3- I cut the name and distressed the letters
4- I distressed the bear a little bit using PowerPuff Amaretto chalk.

I used  Connie's shop  cabochon and button:

I attached a my gift card to the back and hanged it using 3 Girls Jam ribbon.

I wanted to add some "honey' to the honey jar (card) and I wish I had cut some more using my cricut, but I didn't have any extras. Thus, I used some splash images (also from Connie's shop) and inked it first with glitter alcohol markers (5+6), and them using some more amber Glass effect pen to mimic my cricut cut honey...
Papers are from many different manufacturers.

I hope you enjoy this project as much as we did,
Have a wonderful weekend,

Don't forget to check out Connie's monthly Challenge!

Eureka Stamps Challenge #177 - Love Is In The Air/Valentine Cards

Eureka stamp Challenge theme this week is:

Love Is In The Air/Valentine Cards

My project:

&

Inside  903 I Love You

For my card this week, I was inspired by several challenges online (besides ours ;-):

And Latina crafter:

Sketch # 55 + Twist de enero!!   I used the twist colors and theme.

Again for this card, I used my mini minc, still unsuccessful, but I still like the result (added shine to my letters instead of the holographic foil I was intending to do):

I used papers from CTMH, ribbon from 3- Girls Jam, Minc Foil, Heart veneers from Latina Crafter, "para ti" stamp also from Latina crafter,  Melissa Frances fine glitter, random hearts embossing machine (bought at a garage sell), and distressing tool from TH.

I added some glitter to my  veneer hearts, leaving the one of the LOVE heart without for extra interest.

In general a fun card to make for the non-cardmaker crafter.

I also got inspired by the following challenges:

Glitter

Ribbon

Best luck in our own challenge and have a wonderful week,

Vicky

Eureka Stamps Challenge #176 - Pile It On

Our Challenge theme this week at Eureka Stamps is:

Pile It On - Use up some of the STUFF you have been saving

Here is my take on this challenge, I decided to pile on tons of glitter as snow...

inside 16904 Let It Snow
The inside of the card: More snow: Chunky glitter

Papers are from CTMH. Ranger distress markers and blending pen from CTMH. Glitter, 2 different ones I don't recall from where i got them. Stickles, Ranger ( Connie's store), Decoart (snow paint)

Close up from my snow angel: Stickles on the wings, fine glitter in the snowflakes, snow paint for the fur in the hat and scarf:

I made my own snowflake dimensional element punching a scallop circle out of the B&T paper and adding chunky glitter and stickles, and a pearl full of stickles. The banner is cut from the B&T paperstrip:

I hope you enjoy this card and leave me some comments,
Have a very blessed week and keep warm.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

For my project I decided to use what I started as a card a while ago, inspired by the Crafty Boots challenge:

Something old: old started card.
something new: new card-base (3D), CTMH Blings, Latina Crafter stencil, and from Connie's shop: stamp (Cutie), cabochon, Ranger Stickles and button (also from Connie's shop).

Here is a picture of my long ago started card, before all the new changes:

Here how it looks after adding a new 3D folded cardbase, stamping, stenciling, bling, stickles, and wink of stella:

Eureka Stamps Challenge # 175 - Use Something New

New Challenge theme this week is at Eureka Stamps

In Celebration of our new year
Use Something New - please tell us what was new

For my card I used: 8603(543) Flower Background

I try to use something new for our challenge and the other ones I was planning to participate and got out the new mini Minc I got for myself during December:

As you can see the foil transfer didn't really work, It just made my letters and balloon glossy but but holographic as I wanted them:
I don't know what happened, I tried using different foils and different temperature settings and nada... I guess I will have to keep trying and use my old laminating machine for foil transfer for the time been.
I used my laser printer as I did before too... I'm so disappointed...

So I ended up using my Wink of Stella Markers for the balloon and some ranger distressing picked fence marker to light up the balloon background. As new Item I used a butterfly bling...
Thank you for checking my project out and hopefully I will have a better experience next time I use my mini Minc...
Have a wonderful blessed week,

Vicky
