Bday Card using the "Cindy Loo" cart...

Dear scrappers,
Finally, few minutes to write and share some of my previous work...
I made this card using my Gypsy, Cricut, and Cindy Loo Cart (still one of my favorites). At that time I was teaching at Michaels and had some left over papers scraps from my previous Provo Craft Demos, thus this card was made with American Craft Card stocks, foam squares, glue, and a little bit of glitter. Very simple and easy.

I used some glitter to cover my grey layer originally intended for this card. I think it gives this card and extra girly touch...
I even cut the sentiment and my friend's daughter name with the cricut using the welding function in my Gypsy. In that regard, I am dying to try linking my Gypsy to the Cricut Craft Room, but I need to update my Gypsy first :-)

I hope you enjoyed my little card and old project ;-)
Please leave a comment if you have questions, positive critic, or just to say hi...
Have a wonderful weekend

Thanks Cards--- CTMH

I made these cards for my second unit CTMH meeting here in San Antonio.
I was inspired by some great ideas posted at that time in the Paper Wishes Catalog and used the monthly Cupcakes Template from the same company monthly Shopper club.

I love how the cupcake topper gives some texture to the card. I was already doing Cricut demos at Michaels at that time, so I had to use one of the edge punches from Martha Stewart to try it out ;-)
This is a very simplistic but playful card, I hope you enjoy it and if you use it as inspiration, please don't hesitate to link back to my blog so I can stop by and see your work :-)

Have a great week

Welcome Home Card using the Cricut

Dear scrappers,
I made this card while I was doing the cricut demos for Michaels and Bestbuy and decided to use the idea for my CTMH unit meeting card swap...

I used CTMH papers instead of the American Crafts originally used and had to stamp and heat embossed too, couldn't help it ;-)
This shape came from the Mini Monsters cart, which I was promoting at that time and I used the card function to get this cute trifolded card.

The CTMH B&T used is been already retired, I think even before I joined... And I used some desert sand card stock. I still used the yellow and blue accent papers from American Crafts to go with my B&T.
This was a very easy to do project and I left the hard work to my gypsy and my cricut :-)
I hope you enjoy one of my oldy projects ;-)
Happy scrapping

Quick Boy Bday Card

Dear scrappers,
I needed to make a small bday card for my son's friend. I had less than 30 min to wrap the gift, get the kids ready and make a congrats card. So I run upstairs, where I keep my craft supplies / kids' playroom, and grab three different CTMH workshop on the go (WOTG) kits to choose a quick sketch. I love those because it shows the exact measurements to cut my papers.
I used the retired Every Day Celebrations kit for making cards and the Superhero kit. I had the latest boys' WOTG kit, but I did not used it at the end.

A friend gave me a kit with color card bases with their envelopes, which made it easier to choose papers. I used an sketch from the Every Day Celebrations kit and using the measurements I picked two B&T papers from the superhero kit. I used the border of another one for the strip in the sketch. Cut everything, glue it and them stamped using the Superhero stamps the bright bang! shape (I don't know how to call this shape, but it reminds me to the superhero old comic strips) into white daisy card stock.
I stamped a sentiment from Every Day Celebrations kit stamps in twilight ink in the middle and hand cut the shape adding it to the B&T rectangle with 3D glue dots.

For the inside, I stamped some balloons from the Every Day Celebrations kit and the sentiment. I let my 5 yo son write his friend and my kids' name.

To finish the gift, I used a dimensional star element as a quick gift tag, again using my son's help to write the sentiment and names. Voila the gift gift was ready...

Next time, I am using those card sketches with the new WOTG CTMH boys' theme.
I hope you like this tip and leave me a comment,
Happy scrapping

Tag Swap at "Scrap & Craft" online Store using the Deconstructed sketch #92

Dear Scrappers,
I was dying to try one of the deconstructed sketches from http://decostructingjen.com , and Victoria's tag swap at the "Scrap & Craft" online store, http://www.scrapandcraft.net/?section=home , was the perfect excuse to do so.

I took a shortcut this time and left my cricut to rest for a little bit, thus, I used the dimensional element tags from CTMH (which are great btw). I covered them up with some doodlebug paper, bought at "Scrap & Craft", using liquid glass, CTMH, and trimmed around the edges. Then, I took 2" high of the back site of the same paper and glued directly to the covered tag, leaving a nice contrasting border. I trimmed the tags, sanded the edges and sponged them with our new lagoon pigment ink.
I used an spellbinder die cut for the backing shapes following and modifying the sketch using using the same paper as in the tag's borders. For the sentiment, I took again some dimensional shapes and stamped the round border in hollyhock and the sentiment in lagoon.
I took some "Awards" shapes and run a line of washi tape over them, overlaying them with orange daisies paper frill, topping it off with a ... threaded button.

Using the dimensional elements was a great shortcut. Not measuring and precutting paper at all, erasing a bothersome step... Just glue and trim...
I finished six tags in an hour and was able to mail them during my trip. I hope that by now, Victoria got them, and I am excited to find out what the other ladies did...
I hope you enjoyed this little time saving trick ;-)

Materials:
Ink pads: mini pigment Lagoon and hollyhock, CTMH
Stamp set: Perfect Fit- Mom, CTMH
Buttons, CTMH
CTMH "Mixed Shapes", "Awards" and "Tags" Dimensional elements

Masculine Cards Using the CTMH Victory Workshop Kit

Dear scrappers,
I made this cards for a friend's son, who was turning 15, and wanted to give him something special. As previously mentioned, I am making two cards every time I need one and then deciding which one to use.
For these cards, I used CTMH Victory Workshop kit and got my inspiration from another blogger's idea:
http://sandeestampsandscraps.blogspot.com/2012/06/my-hero-tri-fold-card-with-ctmh-victory.html
Sandee's card was a trifold, however I did mine a regular card. I loved how she stamped the interior, so I followed her idea.

Then, I twisted her template a little bit and got the second card. At the end, I decided, which one I loved best and personalized with the number 15 and the crown.

The later was an addition best fitted to the receiver of the card, because he is our teeneger prince ;-)
Mom and son loved the card, I hope you do too :-)
Have a wonderful Sunday

H2H Challenge: Teacher Appreciation--May Entry #2

Dear Scrappers,
I made these bookmarks/goody bag topper for my kids' teachers & TAs. I used my Gypsy to design them using the Art Philosophy, My World, Wild Card, and Artise Carts.

I stamped the frame cuts and used them as bases for the bookmarks. I, then glued two pieces of magnet strips, the same way I did for my Mother's day-bookmarks: http://vickyscrappingpassion.blogspot.com/2013/05/mothers-day-celebration-bookmarks-and.html

I used the Kuddos and Hero's sentiment stamps to decorate circles and covered the outer magnet. I stamped my kids' names in the inside and used the finished bookmarks as bag toppers:

And added them inside my kids' folders for their teachers to find ;-)

I did around 10 of them and gave an extra to my seriously avid reader-husband...

I am thinking in doing a small container with more bookmarks for my husband for Father's Day, what do you think?

Have a wonderful week and don't forget to leave me some comments please :-D

Just Because or Birthday cards using CTMH "You & Me" papers

Dear scrappers,
I made those two cards for a friend, who was having a birthday, and made a second one to keep for other occasion. I am trying to make two cards instead of just one every time a need a card. Once I decide, which one I will give, I personalize it even more to make special for the person intended.
I used the "You & Me" kit again because it has those very special colors, so feminine and elegant at the same time. I used inked dimensional elements included in the kit as the center of the paper rosettes and stamped the envelopes to coordinate with the cards. The paper strips used for the rosettes were punched using one of the MS punch around the page punches. The striped pattern of these papers make them more interesting rosettes.
I used the included stitched border stamp to add a more homemade feeling.
I hope you like it and give me some feedback :-)

Thanksgiving Card in April ;-)

Dear scrappers
I made these cards for my friends and some similar ones for a card swap some time ago (years)...
My CTMH fellow consultants here in San Antonio try to meet once a month. Se consultants teach a projects while the rest can swap cards. Those meetings are fun and I regret not to be able to attend many of them. Those meeting are on weekends, when I finally spend time with my husband and kids...
Those meetings are great, we exchange ideas, tips, and now we are going to try to sell or swap our unwanted supplies (yes, the many that we have). I foresee a complete success and hopefully more attendance.
Well returning to this card. I made it using my cricut, gypsy, and some carts (Cindy Loo, George and basics shapes, gypsy wandering, and wild cards). You can have the gypsy file if you wish; just send me a note.
I used some CTMH retired papers (Sarsaparilla) and card stocks; my xyron sticker maker, and some glitzy liquid glitter.
I hope you get some inspiration from this card and give me some feedback :-)
